Contract Production Services History

In the 1950's VH Industries was formed in Saint Paul and CMPRO was formed in Minneapolis. Both facilities provided contract production for a variety of clients including the Department of Defense, 3M, IBM, and Honeywell.

In 1990 the two companies merged at the same time the Saint Paul Society for the Blind and Minneapolis Society for the Blind merged and became Vision Loss Resources.

More recently the Contract Production Services name was chosen to represent both facilities although many partners still refer to us as one or the other due to their long standing relationship with us.

For the last five years CPS has been fine tuning our efficiency using the principles of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma resulting in cost savings for all of our partners while maintaining our commitment to VLR.
